Argenta Announces Strategic Consolidation of US Operations

Argenta, a global leader in animal health innovation, today announced plans to consolidate its US manufacturing and development operations into a single site, strengthening the company’s long-term operational footprint and enhancing delivery for its global client base.

As part of this strategic transition, Argenta will begin a phased ramp-down of activities at its Fort Dodge, Iowa facility over the next 12-24 months, with operations being consolidated into the company’s Shawnee, Kansas site. This decision follows a comprehensive review of Argenta’s current and future operational needs.

“Consolidating our US operations into Shawnee enables Argenta to streamline its footprint, increase efficiency, and enhance our ability to serve customers with the highest levels of quality and reliability,” said Matt Stober, Chief Executive Officer, Argenta. “We have built a world-class development and manufacturing hub in Shawnee, one that allows us to develop products, run clinical studies, produce clinical supplies, and execute commercial launches all from a single location. Our end-to-end, molecule-to-market offering is a game changer for our customers in terms of speed, quality, and consistency. This is a forward-looking investment in our operational model and long-term growth.”

Strengthening Capabilities and Capacity

The Shawnee site will continue to serve as Argenta’s primary US hub, with planned investments to support expanded capabilities, improved utilisation of assets, and increased capacity in both development and manufacturing services. Regulatory compliance, product quality, and client service continuity will remain fully supported throughout the transition.

The company confirmed there will be no disruption to client projects as a result of this transition. A dedicated cross-functional project team will oversee all phases of the consolidation to ensure a smooth and controlled process.

Support for Fort Dodge Employees

Argenta has communicated the decision directly to employees at both US sites and has begun a structured employee support process at Fort Dodge. The company is committed to managing the transition with care, transparency, and respect for all impacted colleagues.

“Fort Dodge has played an important role in Argenta’s history,” added Stober. “We are grateful for the contributions of our colleagues there and are committed to supporting them through this change.”
