Argenta Appoints Jean Hoffman to Its Board of Directors

Serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in global pharmaceutical, veterinary, and health care information technology industries, brings valuable knowledge and strategic acumen to the Argenta board.

Argenta announced today the appointment of Jean Hoffman, an accomplished animal health executive and strategist, to its board of directors. Her appointment increases the size of the Board from five to six members.

Jean Hoffman is a serial entrepreneur and visionary leader with extensive experience in global pharmaceutical, veterinary, and health care information technology. She was the founder of Putney and built the company into America’s leading generic drug company for pets. Jean chaired the Board of Directors and led the company as President and CEO from inception to the 2016 sale to Dechra Holdings US Inc. Prior to Putney, she founded and built Newport Strategies, Inc., which was acquired by Thomson Reuters (NYSE-TRI) in 2004.

In her career, Jean has been honored with numerous awards, including several for science and technology leadership. In addition, she has been recognized by shareholders, business partners, independent judges, customers and team members for ground breaking strategy, visionary leadership, successful entrepreneurship, astute risk management and excellence in communications.

Jean’s career began at the Washington, DC based, public/private U.S.-China Business Council in 1980, where she advised U.S. companies on the establishment of business with China and Chinese entities on exporting to the U.S, commencing her career in the pharmaceutical industry.

With this appointment, the Board consists of six members: chairman George Gunn, Kugan Sathiyanandarajah, Managing Director at KKR; Johnny Kim, Director at KKR; MarkGibson, Tomlinson Group; David Geor, Tomlinson Group; and Jean Hoffman.
